More and more people are asking: is Cyphertracer a scam? Yes, Cyphertracer is a scam! Our experienced analysts are issuing an unambiguous scam warning about a syndicate operating under the name Cyphertracer. Using well-known recovery scam tactics, the scammers pretend to help victims of cryptocurrency fraud, binary trading and forex trading. Instead of getting anyone’s money back, though, they simply compound victims’ misery and defraud them a second time. Do NOT give these fraudsters any of your hard-earned money! If they have already scammed you, contact us today to see how we can help.

But how do our analysts know for sure that Cyphertracer is a scam? Let’s look at the following tell-tale signs for fake websites.

Non-existent entity

The first clear sign of a scam is the absence of any company name or information on the Cyphertracer website. Furthermore, there are neither Terms & Conditions nor any information on where the company might be registered or regulated. While the Contact page provides a (likely fake) UK address, a search of the UK Government’s official Companies House website does not reveal any company by that name. On this measure alone we can answer the question “is Cyphertracer a scam” with a clear “yes”. However, there are even further signs.

Familiar yet Faceless

One trick that fraudsters such as Cyphertracer use to lend legitimacy to their scams is by imitating genuine companies. Apart from a slickly designed website, the scammers’ name therefore has a familiar ring to it. It sounds similar to legitimate cyber investigative companies, such as our company, Cybertrace, as well as experienced US providers Ciphertrace.

A related tell-tale sign of scam websites is the lack of any information on who owns or runs the company. This isn’t confined to just their website, either – Cyphertracer has zero presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn. If they don’t tell you who they are, don’t trust them to recover your funds! It’s getting pretty clear: is Cyphertracer a scam? You bet!

Fraudulent claims

Cyphertracer claims to have more than five years’ experience, while also declaring to have been in business for 25+ years. Their website also states that it has completed 1106 cases, won 267 awards and have 100% satisfied customers. Curiously, however, the privately listed domain was only registered on 14 March 2021!

A final big red flag is Cyphertracer’s offer of a “guaranteed recovery” of any funds. Asset recovery is a complex business, and no legitimate operator could guarantee success to every client. In case anyone wanted to check Cyphertracer’s record, its Assured Results page is broken/non-existent. This is the final nail in the coffin. Is Cyphertracer a scam? Absolutely!

Do NOT trust them to recover your funds!

Based on all of the above signs, it is clear that Cyphertracer’s operations at cyphertracer.com are indeed a scam. Targeting victims of cryptocurrency fraud by falsely guaranteeing asset recovery, the scammers are running a classic crypto recovery scam operation. Please do not lose any more of your money to these frauds! If they have managed to fool you, don’t be ashamed or embarrassed. They run a sophisticated operation and try everything they can to appear legitimate. Don’t get mad, get even – contact Cybertrace today to discuss how our experienced investigators might be able to help you.
